Hello everyone, my name is Allana Gerros. Thank you for taking a moment to read this post. I feel really silly using this platform to ask for help. I feel there are way more situations that are way more important than this, but here it goes..

A couple weeks ago my husband, Sam, was on his way to pick up our girls after work. He had been working almost 30 days straight without a day off. He had been picking up side jobs on the weekend to help out with all of life’s expenses. He was just exhausted after work that day and on the way to pick up the girls. So much on his mind of all the things he still needed to get done before the end of the day. He did not see the other driver who was entering the intersection and about to crash into him. Luckily, after being t boned on the driver’s side , he didn’t suffer any major injuries, besides a minor concussion. By the grace of God he and the other driver involved were ok. Both terrified and thankful to be alive after the accident.

Unfortunately, the family car we both worked so hard to get last summer was totaled. I’m thankful that the Suburu took most of the impact and kept my husband safe during the accident, but we are devastated with the aftermath. When we bought the car last summer, we bought the extended warranty, not the GAP coverage. Neither of us had been in an accident and didn’t foresee that in the future. Terrible mistake on our part. Now after insurance, we will still owe a little over $6100. This may not seem like a lot, but on top of a mortgage, bills, other loans and debt we have accumulated it is just making it so much harder to catch up. I fear if we don’t ask for help now, we will get to a place financially where we will not be able to recover from.

I hardly ask for help from my friends and family, but right now I really could use it.

The Subaru helped transport all of our family including our two dogs to the dog park multiple times a week, to work, classes, church, appointments, family vacations and events. It is going to be a hard transition for awhile but I know that God has a plan for us.
