Support Allan Chaney's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
My name is CJ Parker and I am raising funds for Allan Chaney, Mahie Rattley, and their family following a medical emergency which will require extensive physical therapy and time away from leading Positive Adversity Youth Services.

Allan has been a big brother and mentor to me since he was a standout student-athlete at New London High School. After playing and coaching basketball at the Division 1 level, Allan has dedicated his professional career and personal life to the betterment of his community as the founder of Positive Adversity Youth Services. Positive Adversity provides a plethora of services in New London, Norwich, and Mashantucket including mentorship, art and music programs, developmental basketball leagues, and back-to-school backpack giveaways. Allan's commitment to the young people in southeastern Connecticut derives from his recognition of negative cycles such as a lack of positive role models and opportunities as well as broken homes. Since 2016, he has striven to address these needs to support young people in reaching their full potential.

Allan is a loving and involved father of three children. When he is not extending his efforts to support others, he is spending time with his close-knit family. Due to his medical emergency, it will be difficult to provide financially until he is fully recovered. As a staple of our community, it is imperative we extend the love, effort, and support Allan has poured into our future. All proceeds will go directly to Allan and Mahie Rattley to ensure their family's needs are met during this extremely difficult time along with the medical bills being accrued.

Allan is currently at Gaylord Rehab Hospital where his health has been improving. For rest and recovery purposes, it is best for Allan to receive limited visitation. He has regained the ability to walk, but still requires extensive speech therapy. He wants to return home to his family as soon as possible. Any donations are immensely appreciated.

“When you take all the adversity you’ve been through in your life and make it positive, you can change lives!”
