On October 22, Alla Kvitko, a beloved UC Davis anesthesia tech, received a call informing her that her husband, Mikhail, was in a hospital in Texas. This incident happened while Mikhail was working on the job as a truck driver. Alla had lost contact with Mikhail on Sunday night and had been desperately trying to reach him until she got a call from Texas police stating he had been found unresponsive in his truck at a rest stop. He was rushed to the hospital, intubated, and underwent emergent surgery. Alla and her son flew out Tuesday night to be by his side. It appears as if they will be in Texas for a while.
