Support Alix's Kidney Transplant Journey

Hi, my name is Meghan and I'm putting this together for my sister, Alix. Shortly after giving birth to her second baby, she was diagnosed with renal (kidney) failure and will require a kidney transplant that will be held at UC Davis Medical Center. As we are going through all of the testing in matching and learning what this means moving forward, the recovery time will require at least 6-8 weeks off and this does not include the in person follow up care over the next few years. All of her PTO time was used for her maternity leave and now with this, she will have no income coming in during this process and recovery.

We are asking for any help in aiding relief for her and her husband who will also have to take time off work to not only support her post surgery but also hold the fort down with their two sons. The amount asked is a quote that was given by the social worker and care coordinator. Any help is beyond appreciated more than you know!
