My name is Dani. I am a brown, nonbinary queer artist seeking community support so I can move out of my current residency by the end of APRIL and further develop my art + teaching career.

Over the past couple of years, my overall health has been severely impacted due to emotional + mental abuse, as well as enduring ongoing ableism. This has resulted in relapsing back into s/lf h/rming and increased su/c*de ideations. And as of recently, I’ve been dealing with sudden health issues that have forced me to quit my last job and make it nearly impossible for me to work a regular 9-5.

It’s challenging for me to live to my full potential in an environment where I am in constant survival mode. I am deserving of a home where I can exist and feel safe in; however, I am not able to accomplish this on my own. To live the life I’m meant to live, I urgently need the support of my community as I continue to search for sustainable employment. So I share my vulnerable truths because I have trust that WE can actualize this dream together.

I ask that if you have the financial means to, to consider allocating funds. The money given to this fundraiser will be used for (though not limited to): rent + deposit, basic necessities (food + water), bills, commute fares, PPE, etc.

But if you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign across social media, with trusted friends, and organizations would be immensely appreciated so it can reach those that can give.
