Dear Friends, Family, and Hair Community,

As many of you may know or are just finding out, Alissa Alvarez has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, which has unfortunately spread to her spine, causing significant pain and challenges. She is set to begin chemotherapy, embarking on an 18-week journey to remission. Thankfully, her doctors are optimistic about the treatability of her condition, and she, as well as all of us, are hopeful for a positive outcome.

Alissa has been married to her high school sweetheart, Damian, for 20 years, and they have three teenage boys: Jaedyn, Quentyn, and Lelynd. She has worked as a hairstylist for 22 years, building an amazing clientele that she cherishes. She is also a National Trainer for Eufora International Hair Care Company and travels the country teaching and sharing her passion for cutting and coloring with other stylists.

Due to her diagnosis and treatments, she will not be able to work, causing a huge financial burden on the family. As she prepares for this intensive treatment, her family faces mounting medical bills and expenses that are quickly becoming overwhelming.
