Leander TX FloodSupport Alissa Martin’s Memorial & Family

My name is Skylar, and I’m reaching out during the most difficult time of my life. My mother, Alissa Martin, passed away in the Texas Central Floods in Leander Sandy Creek. She was the heart of our family—the one who held us together, supported my grandparents, and brought light to every heavy moment with her humor. Alissa was always there for us, whether she was driving my grandparents to appointments, helping them with physical therapy, or making sure our home was filled with laughter and care. Every day, she’d send me funny gifs and memes, reminding me to smile even when things were tough.

One of my favorite memories is playing tennis with her. She always thought she was the better player, but as we played more, she was shocked at how much I improved. We laughed so hard at her surprise, and that moment captured her spirit—she always wanted those around her to grow, to laugh, and to feel loved. She was so loved by all of her friends and family.

Now, my family and I are facing the overwhelming costs of her funeral, travel, and support for my grandparents and myself. We need help to cover these expenses by next Friday, July 18, 2025, so we can honor her memory and bring our family together. Any support will help us give Alissa the memorial she deserves and help us begin to heal from this loss.
