Hi :) I'm Alison, and I am getting top surgery in April!! Woo woo!! I have been longing for this surgery for many years and, until recently, I never thought it would be possible. I am raising funds to help cover some of my living expenses through recovery. Though I have spent the past year saving as much money as I could to cover the cost of the surgery itself, I need a little extra help to pay for food, rent, and after-care support in the weeks after. I work as a massage therapist full-time and will need to take at least 6 weeks off from work to give my body enough time to recover well and return to massaging safely.

Asking for help is not something that feels comfortable or easy for me, but the past few months have been particularly difficult financially. In January, my car slipped on a patch of ice while I was driving to work and was totaled, which forced me to use some of my savings to cover the extra expenses for towing and a rental car during an already slow work season.
