Support Alison and her family through her cancer treatment

Just before Christmas, Alison's plans for 2025 took an unexpected turn with a diagnosis of breast cancer. We live in a country with a robust health system, and she will receive great medical care, but spending a year undergoing various cancer treatments was not what she was expecting! With all four children at school in 2025, Alison was excited about returning to the workforce to re-engage with her professional identity and to contribute financially to the family.

Alison is a generous and thoughtful friend and someone who has walked with many others through seasons both difficult and joyful. She shines with her optimism, faith, enthusiasm and genuine interest in and care for so many others. I know that there will be many wishing that there was 'something they could do to help' - and while none of us can undergo her treatment for her, we can help ease any financial worries that she might feel with being unable to work for at least 2025.

I've set up the fundraiser to have funds go straight to Alison's bank account. Anonymous gifts are very welcome - they can take away any of the awkwardness that we often feel about money (whether we feel we can't give as much as we would like, or whether we feel the recipients might feel uncomfortable in the face of generosity).
