If you know Alisia, you will know exactly what I mean when I say she's a light. A ray of sunshine, her smile can cheer up any room, her laughter contagious. She's a fierce woman with ambition who works tirelessly to provide the amazing life she has made for her and her two boys. Behind the scenes she's been managing debilitating ulcerative colitis for almost 20 years, and now, she's forced to deal with the hand she's been dealt...colon cancer. Sparing the medical jargon, she will be undergoing life saving surgery on December 2nd. With that being said, the road ahead looks promising, but the unknown is definitely scary. Alisia will be out of work for at least 8 weeks for recovery. During that time, she will be in desperate need of financial help since she will be unable to work at all. As the sole provider for her and her boys, she will need her village to help now more than ever.
