My name is Alisha. In June 2025, I was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer. Invasive ductal carcinoma and node-positive breast cancer. With this diagnosis, I haven't been able to work. Chemo takes everything from me for the first 5-7 days after. My husband has also been missing work, which makes things very difficult for us.
With all the appointments to the hospital gas has become a struggle along with getting certain essentials in the house.
I am going for my last hard chemo on October 9th. Also starting that week are many tests for the oncologist, and then those switch to appointments for my surgeon. November 26th is surgery day, and I'm very scared.
Well almost 3 months after bilateral mastectomy and Expanders placed. Im still going to treatments every 3 weeks and have another surgery scheduled for March 4th.
I'm doing the Breast I can at staying optimistic, however this whole battle is extremely exhausting in every way possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts.
