Ali was an incredible woman — a loving mother, devoted daughter, loyal friend, and a truly gifted coach who changed the lives of everyone she met. She helped over 100 people lose hundreds of pounds and reclaim their health. As an assistant coach with my online fitness company, Jet Set Trainer, Ali brought compassion, intelligence, and heart into every client relationship. She had an extraordinary ability to listen deeply and meet people exactly where they were. Her impact on our community will never be forgotten.
Ali and I met on a treadmill at the gym. Two millennials laughing about how many years we spent doing the wrong things in our fitness journeys — overtraining, undereating, trying to push harder instead of smarter. We bonded over the truth that asking for help was what finally changed everything. From that first conversation, I knew she was special. Driven. Empathetic. Resilient. A natural leader.
While pregnant with her baby girl, Ali underwent routine genetic testing (NIPT). After receiving three abnormal results, doctors knew something wasn’t right. She was flown to Maryland by the National Institutes of Health for a full-body workup as part of an ongoing study. That is when Ali and her family received devastating news: she had colorectal adenocarcinoma (colon cancer) that had already metastasized to her liver.
Ali had beaten cancer once as a child. And she fought again with that same courage — this time for her children and the life she was building. Tragically, after a courageous battle, Ali passed away. She leaves behind two young children and a family who gave everything they could — emotionally and financially — to support her during her illness. On top of navigating aggressive treatment, Ali was also facing the strain of a difficult divorce, adding unimaginable weight to an already overwhelming battle.
Now, her family is facing funeral expenses and the ongoing responsibility of caring for her two young children. This fundraiser has been organized by close friends to ensure that every dollar raised goes directly to Ali’s family. Funds will be used to help cover:
• Funeral and memorial expenses
• Outstanding medical costs
• Childcare and daily living expenses
• Long-term support for her children
Ali spent her life helping others feel stronger, healthier, and more hopeful. Now it’s our turn to show up for her. If you are able to donate, no matter the amount, it will make a meaningful difference. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this page so her story reaches as many hearts as possible. Thank you for honoring Ali’s life, her strength, and the legacy she leaves behind in her children and in every life she touched. Together, we can help carry her family forward.
