We are making this fundraiser for our dear friend Alicia.

Recently, Alicia was diagnosed with breast cancer.

As she begins treatment, we're hoping to raise money to help ease some of the financial stress that comes with a diagnosis like this. The funds will help cover her treatment, day-to-day living expenses, prescriptions, transportation to and from appointments, travel for medical care when needed, and the countless unexpected costs that appear when you're trying to focus on getting well.

Many people know Alicia as MCDAZZLER. Her art is often labeled as provocative or shocking but when you really know Alicia, you realize she's doing something with a depth and vulnerability that not a lot of people are willing to try. Through her honesty, she calls on us to be more honest too—the good, the bad and the ugly. Her art reminds us that all of it is okay.

What's even more important is the person behind all of that. Alicia has always been part of the community, a true original. She has spent decades cheering people on, helping when she can and giving her time, energy and heart to the people around her.

If Alicia has ever watched your dog, picked you up from the airport, helped you move, cleaned your Airbnb, snuck in (or out) of an after-hours with you, made you laugh, made you think, made art that inspired you or simply been a good friend, this is a chance to show up for her and little Moses.

Alicia has spent a long time taking care of everyone else. Right now, she deserves the time and space to take care of herself.
