Hello, my name is Alicia and I live in San Angelo, TX. The early morning of July 4th, our city was hit with excessive rain and flooding. To put it mildly, we’re not used to this much all at once. Over 14” in hours created massive flooding. None of us have flood insurance because of the area we live in. While my home was not as damaged as others, we’re all in the same situation, no funding outside of our own, to clean up and rebuild. I hesitated strongly about asking for any help but the truth is, we need it. As of last night, we are not on FEMA's list for assistance and I pray that changes. I’ve had my home for 21 years, never any water damage. I bought my house as a single mom, raised my daughter here, and my fur babies. Cleanup and replacing, rebuilding on a single income is doable yet will take a while. I ask for many prayers for our city and all of Central Texas where many are missing and lives were lost. It’s truly hard to ask for any help, but all prayers are extremely welcomed!
