I don’t know how else to say this… we are in a real crisis right now.

My wife, Alicia M. Torres—my everything—suffered a massive heart attack. One minute she was here with us, and the next we were being told how serious it was… how close we came to losing her. That is something no family is ever prepared to hear. Our son almost lost his mom. I almost lost my best friend, my partner in everything.

She is still fighting to recover at St. Rose Dominican Hospital – Siena Campus in Henderson, NV, and every day feels uncertain. We are holding on to hope, but the reality is overwhelming. Our focus is on keeping her alive, helping her heal, and being there for her every second we can.

But at the same time… life hasn’t stopped.

Bills are piling up fast. Rent is due. We need food, gas to get back and forth, and money for basic necessities. With her unable to work and everything turned upside down, we are struggling just to get through each day. The stress of not knowing how we’re going to keep a roof over our heads while she’s fighting for her life is something I can’t even put into words.

I never thought I would be in a position to ask for help like this. It’s hard. It’s humbling. But right now, I have no choice.

We need help to survive this moment.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 to help cover rent, groceries, gas, utilities, and essential bills while Alicia continues this fight to recover. This isn’t about anything extra… this is about making sure we don’t lose everything while trying not to lose her.
