Help Alicia O’Kane and Her Son Wyatt Through Her Battle With Cancer
Our beautiful friend Alicia O’Kane is fighting for her life after being diagnosed with metastatic high-grade leiomyosarcoma of the lungs, a rare and very aggressive cancer.
Alicia first went through this in 2021, when she had the same cancer in her uterus. After surgery to remove it, she truly thought it was gone forever. She focused on healing and being the amazing mom she is to her son, Wyatt, and life slowly started to feel normal again.
However, the cancer came back — this time in her lungs. Since then, Alicia has gone through six grueling rounds of treatment, with three more still to go, hoping to shrink the tumor and buy more time. Even with all of that, her doctors fear she may only have 1–2 years left, despite these incredibly tough and risky treatments.
One of her treatments had to be stopped because it started causing excruciatingly painful symptoms and could lead to heart failure. But stopping it means the tumor could keep growing and spreading. It’s an impossible situation that no one should ever have to face.
Through all of this, Alicia has stayed strong for Wyatt. She’s shown more courage and love than words can describe. But the truth is — this fight has taken everything out of her, physically, emotionally, and financially.
We’re asking for help to support Alicia and Wyatt with medical bills, daily living costs, and whatever they might need during this time. It is hard to put a price on a life but every little bit helps. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page or sending love, prayers, and words of encouragement. Home Made meals, Uber Eats and Door Dash, and/or Instacart gift cards would also be very helpful. Alicia is not able to eat much at this time but would really help her so she can feed Wyatt with minimal effort after treatments.
Alicia means so much to everyone who knows her. She’s kind, funny, and has the biggest heart — now it’s our turn to give back and help her and Wyatt however we can.
Thank you so much for your love and support.
