Hello, my name is Alicia Lewis, and I am a student at Santa Monica Community College with a deep passion for law and justice. I’m determined to carve a path in the legal field, and I believe hands-on experience is crucial to shaping my future. That’s why I’m seeking your support to help me participate in the prestigious Lex Fellowship, an incredible study abroad opportunity that will allow me to collaborate with legal professionals, analyze real-world cases, and gain invaluable insights into the legal industry.
This fellowship is more than just an educational experience—it’s a stepping stone toward my dream of becoming one of the few Latina lawyers in the U.S. Today, Latinas make up only 2% of all lawyers, and I want to change that. My motivation comes from a strong desire to advocate for the marginalized—immigrants whose voices often go unheard, women whose stories are not told, and communities that are underrepresented in government and law.
By participating in this program, I will gain the knowledge, skills, and network necessary to make a lasting impact in the legal field and beyond. This fellowship will provide me with the tools to be a fierce advocate for change, justice, and diversity in the legal profession.
Your contribution will help me take one step closer to achieving my goal. I am incredibly grateful for any support you can offer, whether through a donation or sharing my story. Together, we can create a future where diverse voices are not only heard but lead the way in shaping the legal system.
Thank you for believing in me and my vision. Let’s make a difference together!
