Support Alicia Avant's Battle Against Breast Cancer

Hi, my name is Jessie Avant, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Alicia Avant. Alicia is a devoted single mother who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year at just 41 years old. This has been incredibly difficult for our family, and we are doing everything we can to support her through this fight.

She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and will need a double mastectomy after treatment due to a genetic risk that increases the chances of cancer returning. Unfortunately, her job is physically demanding, and she is too sick from chemo to work. My mother and I are doing our best to cover her living and medical expenses, but the financial burden is overwhelming.

Even with insurance, her medical bills are piling up. Earlier this year, her chemotherapy was delayed for several weeks because we couldn’t afford the payments—something no cancer patient should ever have to experience. Right now, she receives weekly chemo treatments, which cost $250 per session. We are desperately trying to ensure she continues getting the care she needs without financial roadblocks.

We’re reaching out to our friends, family, and community for support. Any contribution, big or small, will help keep Alicia’s treatment on track so she can beat cancer and continue being the amazing mother, sister, and daughter she is.
