Support Alicia and Nick-Nick

As you may or may not know, Nick was sent to the PICU at Primary Children's Hospital on Wednesday. On Friday, he took a turn for the worst. Here is what Alicia posted to her Facebook page Saturday,

"Yesterday, Nick started taking a turn for the worst. He is now on the highest settings on the bipap machine before intubation is considered. We have chosen as a family not to reintubate Nick. We’re slowly moving into comfort measures and not doing anything invasive. He is still receiving medications, fluids, and his breathing treatments to try and help him get better, but we wouldn't be doing any other invasive treatments. Yesterday, the team wasn’t sure he’d live a few more hours, but we’re 24 hours later and he’s still with us and waking up and giving his sassy personality. We’re all holding hope but prepared for the worst. We’re following Nick-Nick's lead and letting him decide if he’s done or what he’s going to do..."

We all have hope that our Nick-Nick pulls through, like he has done before. But like Alicia said in her post, we are on Nick's time and if he is ready, we will let him go.

Alicia will be off work for a while regardless of the outcome, and won't be getting a paycheck worrying about bills or gas money is the last thing that needs to be on her mind. Some of the funds raised will also help pay for Nick's final expenses, even if he pulls through, it will help take care of it now rather than later. Any help is appreciated.
