Dear friends,
This morning, my dear friend Alice and her sister experienced an unimaginable loss. Her home in Raymondville, TX, was destroyed in a devastating fire, leaving them with nothing. What makes this tragedy even harder is that Alice's primary concern is not her own loss, but the welfare of the animals she has dedicated her life to saving.
Alice is one of the kindest, most selfless people I have ever known. She has a heart of gold and a deep, unwavering love for animals—especially those who are abandoned, injured, neglected, and in need. Over the years, Alice and her sister have successfully rescued and rehomed hundreds of stray and neglected animals in her town of Raymondville. She would spend her last dime to feed a stray before she would even think of feeding herself.
Sadly, despite losing everything in the fire, Alice is focused solely on the well-being of her beloved foster animals. Currently, she has 10 dogs and 1 cat that survived the fire, and they are all in desperate need of immediate temporary foster care. Alice has made it clear that she refuses to leave her property, even if it means living in a tent in her yard, so that she can continue to care for the animals who depend on her.
We are asking for your help during this incredibly difficult time. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly to helping Alice and her animals get back on their feet. Funds will go toward immediate needs like food, clothing, and supplies for both Alice, her sister, and the surviving animals.
Additionally, if you are able to offer temporary foster care or any other resources, your support would be greatly appreciated.
