We are creating this fundraiser for our daughter, Alice. Our family’s world was turned upside down when Alice was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, a type of blood cancer. She has a malignant tumor in her chest measuring 16 cm, approximately 6 inches, that is encasing multiple blood vessels, including the Superior Vena Cava, which carries deoxygenated blood from the head, neck, arms, and chest directly into the right atrium of the heart. The tumor has also caused right mainstem bronchial obstruction, leading to pulmonary atelectasis, tissue necrosis, and visceral pleural perforation, resulting in almost complete loss of function of her right lung. Alice has already started chemo treatment, and that process has already been a struggle. Alice is a smart, strong, and motivated young lady with a big, warm heart and a peaceful spirit, and seeing her face this has been heartbreaking. Even through all of this, she is maintaining a positive attitude as she takes on this physically and emotionally difficult road to recovery.

The funds raised will help ease the financial pressure that comes with this diagnosis, including medical bills, treatments, everyday living expenses, and equipment at home to make Alice more comfortable and help create a safe environment for her. As we try to stay strong for Alice, these costs add up quickly and create an extra burden during an already overwhelming time.
