Stand With Alice in Her Fight Against Stage 3 Lung Cancer
My name is David Martinkovich, and I am asking for your support for my sister-in-law, Alice Gould.
In July 2025, Alice was diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer that had already spread to her lymph
nodes. The news was devastating. In October 2025, she underwent a lobectomy to remove part of
her lung, and she is now enduring aggressive chemotherapy treatments to target the cancer in her
lymph nodes.
The treatments have taken a tremendous toll. The chemotherapy makes it nearly impossible for her
to eat or drink, and she must go to the hospital weekly just to receive fluids. Every day is a physical
and emotional battle.
For the past seven years, Alice has worked as an RN Supervisor at Sugarcreek, dedicating her life
to caring for others. She has spent her career comforting families, advocating for patients, and
putting others first. She has always been the one people could count on.
Now, she needs us.
Alice is the sole provider for her household. Her husband is disabled and does not receive disability
benefits. Due to the intensity of her treatments, Alice was forced to resign from her job — and with
that, she lost her health insurance. Medical bills are overwhelming. Household expenses continue
to pile up. Their savings, which once offered security, have now been exhausted.
After a lifetime of caring for others as a nurse, wife, mother, and sister, Alice is facing the fight of her
life — not only against cancer, but against mounting financial hardship.
We are asking for your help to ease this burden so Alice can focus fully on healing. Every donation,
no matter the amount, will go toward medical expenses, treatments, and essential living costs.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign and keeping Alice in your
thoughts and prayers.
It’s time to care for someone who has spent her life caring for everyone else.
