Alia (11) and Mazama (17) once dreamed of serving Afghanistan as a teacher and doctor. They have immense potential, but after the Taliban gained control in Afghanistan, their dreams were shattered as schooling was forbidden. Despite unimaginable obstacles, these girls persevered in secret classrooms, determined to keep learning. Their resilience is truly inspiring. Now, thanks to the generosity of St. Margaret’s School, a Virginia boarding school committed to uplifting deserving girls worldwide, Alia and Mazama have an opportunity to continue their education in safety and freedom.
