Help Alfred Sherman Get to His Lifesaving Cancer Specialist Appointment
As many of you know, my dad, Alfred Sherman, has been fighting cancer for the last 10 years. The last year or two have taken a major toll on him; physically, emotionally, and financially. Anyone who knows my dad knows his strength, his humor, and his heart. But this battle has worn him down, and we are now at a point where time is extremely important.
Dad has been given one final chance to see the only GIST (Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor) specialist in the United States, located in Miami, Fl.
Update: Intially after the first visit in Miami we started to see some improvement, how ever in the last month dad's health has taken a turn. He is currently in Afib he has lost all of hos weight, he stays sick, and cant eat or drink much at all. He in the last couple of weeks started throwing up blood and has black stool, he's weak and lathergeic most of the time. Hes blacking out, becoming unresponsive, and confused. His tumors are growing and spreading, yesterday he was told he cant work or drive anymore and he is not taking that well at all, he was told he needed to get back to Miami ASAP that it's his only hope! We all know our Father in heaven is the true hope! Keep us all in your prayers!
That’s why I’m asking for help.
What the Funds Will Be Used For
Airline tickets for my dad and me to get to Miami safely
Travel-related costs such as room, food, rental car, parking, etc!
If flights do end up being provided, every dollar raised will go to my mom to help her plan Dad’s Celebration of Life when that time comes.
We are doing everything we can to keep Dad comfortable, supported, and at peace. His nerves are getting the best of him as this appointment approaches, and my hope is that raising the money for these flights will take that burden off of him and let him focus on what really matters—his health and his peace of mind.
From Our Family to Yours
We truly appreciate every bit of love, support, and prayer that so many of you have already given us. This journey has not been easy on anyone, especially those who know the kind of man my dad is. Your kindness means more to us than words can express.
If you feel led to donate, share, or pray, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We love you all, and we thank you for supporting Alfred during this critical time.
