Alfred Perry, a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and mentor, has been quietly battling pancreatic cancer for the past few months. Perry, as he is affectionately called, is the most humble and generous person in the world. This gentle spirit looks for opportunities to show God’s love to all he encounters. Be it a warm smile, loving hug, words of encouragement, prayer or financial resources, he so freely gives of himself without hesitation.

Perry quickly began treatment soon after his diagnosis back in early June. In such a short time, he has already undergone rounds of chemotherapy, surgery and scans with even more chemotherapy, surgery and scans are scheduled within the next 30 days.

Fighting cancer can be a long and expensive process that can take a toll on the physical, mental and financial health. Perry’s wife, Darlene, has been by his side tirelessly and had assumed the responsibility of being his primary caregiver. In addition to our positive thoughts and prayers, they need financial assistance. Medical expenses, along with their regular living expenses, have already started to mount.

Please consider making a donation to contribute to their growing expenses.

Update…chemotherapy has been working. The mass has decreased about half its original size. Perry did develop an infection as a result of the chemotherapy and was hospitalized for 6 days, but has since recovered.

Perry has been cleared by his cardiologist for surgery, which for is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15th at 8am and is expected to be 7 hours.

Thanks in advance for your contributions and your prayers during this journey!
