On March 22, 2025, the family of Alfonso Efrain Colon received the worst possible news you can ever get when they found out their beloved 24-yo son and brother was tragically killed while riding his motorcycle on the I-405 Freeway near El Segundo and LAX. Alfonso was always a responsible bike rider, and motorcycles were a huge part of his life. The family, led by Iraq War Veteran Command Sergeant Major (Ret) Felipe Alfonso Colon, is grieving beyond belief. They are putting together a proper memorial for their fallen son. Yet they desire to do so much more.

They have plans to start a foundation in Alfonso’s name that will focus on providing support and guidance to other families of bikers who suddenly lose a loved one. So additional funds beyond the cost of the memorial will go for that.
