On October 23, 2024, our family’s world turned upside down. My brother-in-law, Alfonso Nolasco, was diagnosed with leukemia, a life-altering challenge for him, his wife Abby, and their three young children.

Alfonso is currently hospitalized and will remain in care for several weeks as he begins his battle against this illness. Abby is balancing the unimaginable—being a source of strength for Alfonso, caring for their little ones, and navigating the uncertainty that lies ahead.

Adding to the challenge, Alfonso will be unable to return to work until at least the spring of 2025, leaving the family to manage on a single income during a time when financial strain is at its peak.
