Support Aleya's Battle Against Cancer

Donation protected
Aleya was taken by ambulance to the hospital on October 28th, 2024, with a broken femur. She had been ill the past few weeks. She was trying her best to get back to work, but unfortunately, the last step she took was truly her last step as she felt her femur bone crack when she did so. Upon arrival, she went for X-rays and CT scans and a lot of labs. Little did she know, she would receive the news that she had the dreaded C word, Cancer.

On October 30th, 2024, Aleya had surgery to repair her broken femur. During the surgery, they discovered the first soft spot tumor on her femur bone and thats what caused the bone to break. They also discovered another soft spot tumor on her knee, which will be another surgery at another hospital after she heals from this surgery. Other imaging discovered she also has a tumor in her breast and tumors down her spine as well. They have taken biopsies from her breast and her bone. We are currently awaiting the results as to what type of cancer she does have. With Aleya having multiple tumors, including her breast, it's a good possibility that she has metastatic breast cancer. That diagnosis is not set in stone currently.

Prior to this incident, Aleya was employed full-time with full benefits. With her condition as it is, they have no definitive answers pertaining to how long this process is going to be. It is paramount that Aleya be able to continue receiving her medical benefits from her employer. Even with her benefits, she's still going to have many, many hospital bills piling up and no way to pay them. She will also need help with whatever monthly expenses she has. Aleya is only 43 years old. She's been employed in the optical field for over 20 years. She currently resides with her kitty, Oliver. She really loves her cat. We've joked about her becoming the old cat lady. Aleya's laugh is just great! You would have to hear it in person. Her smile lights up the room. Aleya has been my best friend going on 30 years now. Her father, George, and her stepmother, Liz, have been with her and helping in any way they can.

With Aleya's diagnosis as is, you can imagine how extremely hard this news has been for her and her family. We only want her to be concerned with getting well and not with financial responsibilities because that can and will hinder anyone's recovery. We are asking if you could find it in your heart to help Aleya be able to pay for her insurance and any medical expenses that she will acquire. If you can't donate, please don't fret. We ask that you share her story so it reaches as many people as possible. This is going to be a long, bumpy road and she needs all of the support she can get. We appreciate each and every one of you. I will continue to post updates as they come in. Thank you for your support.
