Support Alex's Urgent Relocation Needs

Hello, my name is Alex, and I’m reaching out because I am in a challenging situation. I’m currently facing severe living conditions in my rental unit due to the negligence of my landlord. The apartment I’m living in has ongoing issues with mold, water damage, and electrical problems. These issues have already caused significant damage to some of my belongings, and the electrical problems even led to a small fire in my unit. My situation has caused me to take time off from my job in which I am a teacher and an artist - this has affected my ability to have steady income.

Despite multiple requests for repairs, my landlord has refused to fix these hazards. I have received very rude and nasty responses from my landlord and those who work for him.

Instead of working toward making the property liveable, they are now asking me to leave the property, leaving me with no choice but to move out immediately for my health and safety.

Unfortunately, the situation has left me in a difficult financial position. I am in need of assistance to cover moving expenses, which include:

First month’s rent for a new place

Security deposit for the new unit

Costs related to the moving process

I’m raising $2,500 to help cover these expenses and ensure that I can move to a safe, healthy home. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and would go directly towards making sure I have a stable place to live where I can feel safe again.
