Growing up, I have always looked up to my older cousins, Alex and his his brother Alvin. During summer months, I would spend nights over at their place and went to the same school with them. Growing up without brothers, having them as cousins provided for me a brotherly bond I never had.
One unfortunate summer, however, Alex had a tragic swimming accident. After going down a waterslide, a friend of his plunged into the pool and crashed into Alex while he was still in the water. This caused him to be paralyzed from his neck down. He was only 18 years old.
Caring for Alex has been the utmost manifestation of his family's love, but his treatments have led to expected financial constraints. He has fought through countless hospital visits for various skin ulcers and urinary complications. He is currently in the hospital with urosepsis (a blood infection brought on from a urine infection).
With God's grace, Alex was just released from the ICU, but needs surgery to remove his kidney stones. This kidney stone is the source of infection and is blocking his right kidney. He needs our help. I am relying on your generosity and kindness to raise funds for his anticipated surgery and to be free of infection. I thank you in advance for your prayers and financial support.
Sincerely,
Joseph
