Support Alex’s Second Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Our incredible friend Alex Turner recently received the unthinkable news that his cancer has returned. Alex was first diagnosed in the winter of 2020. What followed was a long, courageous fight filled with treatments, challenges, and unwavering strength. In June of 2023, Alex shared the incredible news that he was cancer-free. We all celebrated alongside him, hopeful that the hardest part was behind him.
But at a recent routine check up, the doctors found the cancer had returned. While they caught the cancer early this time, we still know there's a long journey ahead. He needs our help as he prepares to face the battle once again.
Alex gives so much to everything he does, especially the LGBTQ+ sports community in Denver. In both flag football and softball, he’s helped build a safe, inclusive, and empowering space for so many. But anyone who knows Alex, knows his athleticism (while top tier) is second to his love for his friends and family. He’s the person who always shows up — with heart, with energy, and with love. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
We’re raising $30,000 to help cover medical expenses, treatment costs, and living expenses while Alex focuses fully on healing. Your support — whether it's a donation or simply sharing this campaign — means the world.
Let’s rally around Alex the way he’s always rallied around others. Alex has beaten cancer once and we know he’ll kick it in the butt one more time!
A future meal train will be set up when we know more details. We will share the link here.
