Hello, my name is Michael and I'm raising funds for my close friend Alex.

Alex is a young man and fledgling artist from the Philippines who just recently moved with his family to Florida a few months ago. In mid-May, he was involved in an accident which caused him to land on and break his dominant arm.

Currently, he is recovering with a cast on his arm. However, with no job, no way of taking art commissions, and most harming: no health insurance (in the U.S. no less), he is incurring large costs for his current and upcoming medical care.

We are hoping to raise money to offset some of these costs and make things easier for him to get back on his feet.

The rough estimate right now for the total cost is $40,000 and we're hoping to at least raise a few thousand for initial costs during recovery. Any extra will go towards the final amount.
