Hi Everyone!
My name is Alex, and I am currently a fourth-year medical student at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine in New Jersey. I am really excited to share that I will be graduating in June 2026 and starting my psychiatry residency at Banyan Community Health in Miami, Florida.
Becoming a doctor has been a childhood dream. It has been a long road, full of late nights, setbacks, sacrifices, and a lot of growth, but also something I have never taken for granted. Matching into residency is one of the biggest milestones in this journey, and I feel incredibly grateful to have made it here.
Now I am getting ready for the next chapter, moving my life to Florida and starting residency on June 22, 2026.
As exciting as that is, it has also been a bit overwhelming. Between moving costs, apartment deposits, and paying first and last month’s rent, the financial side of this transition adds up quickly. Like many medical students, I have spent years in school with limited income, so this part has been tough to navigate on my own.
This is why I am asking for your help.
I am hoping to raise $6,000 to help cover the cost of relocating and getting settled in Miami. Every dollar will go directly toward moving expenses and housing so I can start residency with some stability and peace of mind.
Psychiatry is something I care deeply about, and I am committed to showing up for my future patients with empathy, compassion, and respect. Getting to this point means everything to me, and your support, whether through donating or simply sharing this, would truly help me take this next step.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for being part of my journey. It really means more than I can put into words!
