Breast cancer remains one of the most persistent and devastating diseases affecting millions worldwide. In response, the United Nations—through the World Health Organization (WHO)—has made continuous efforts to promote awareness, expand access to treatment, and advance research toward a cure.
In recognition of these global initiatives, and in honor of October as International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Christian Brothers Academy Model United Nations Service Organization (MUNSO) stands in solidarity with those affected by this illness. We are committed to joining this fight by raising both awareness and funds in support of cancer research and prevention.
Our goal this month is to raise $1,000 for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, whose pioneering work continues to prevent, treat, and one day eliminate childhood cancer. Through this initiative, MUNSO reaffirms its dedication to service, compassion, and global cooperation—values that lie at the heart of the United Nations and our mission as student leaders.
