Im reaching out today with a heart- felt request to help support my other half Alex (Papa). Alex recently suffered a series of strokes that have altered many of his daily life tasks. He has been diagnosed with " Global Aspasia" and what this basically means is he is fully (per his Speach Therapist) cognitive but unable to articulate language. He is also experiencing great fatigue as most stroke victims do. He is a prisoner in his own body right now and I need help to set him free!

There is a therapy available that has shown remarkable benefits for stroke victims called Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, (HBOT). It has been proven to significantly enhance brain healing, improve neuroplasticity and aid in restoring lost function. This therapy requires no pharmaceuticals or invasive procedures and has been proven to offer great results and benefits to those who receive it.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized room or chamber.Its said that our normal amount of oxygen obsorbed in our day to day life is approximately 20 percent of that so this oxygen increase to the brain and damaged tissues promotes healing and reduces inflamation improving overall recovery. Studies show that for stroke survivors HBOT can significantly enhance the body's natural healing process, improve speach, motor function and cognitive abilities.

Also take note that this therapy is beneifical for ALL ailments of the body! It greatly benefits the function of our body as a whole!

Our goal for Alex (Papa) is to help stimulate the brains ability to repair itself by promoting the growth of new blood vessels and neural connections. Improve Physical Function. We pray it will help him regain strength, mobility and coordination making it easier to perform everyday life tasks. With more oxygen in his blood stream, his body can heal more efficently helping him progress in his recovery journey faster.

So now lets discuss why I've taken to making this "go fund me" account (something I thought i'd NEVER do)

Friday was our first consultation with his PCP since this life event took place. I listened to him speak for almost 2 hours about pharmaceuticals and medical procedures. I inquired about HBOT for him. The PCP aknowledged the therapy but refused to "prescribe" it. I asked him why. He said because it's an "Alternative Medicine" I spoke about the great things its done for soo many and he flat out told me he didnt care, "I've never prescribed it and I never will" The PCP shot this down in less than 1 minute of discussion/consideration. So with that the PCP slammed the door shut on any hope of his insurance helping with the costs. Very disappointing but not surprising.

The healing center I have consulted with has reccomended that Alex start with a 10 day upload . This will be 10 days of consectutive HBOT treatments to stimulate and infuse his body with pure oxygen. This treatment package is approximately $1,300.00. Alex may have to repeat this program twice to achieve his goal. Honestly, this treatment in my opinion for folks not riding the struggle bus, is very accesible.

For those of us who bought the bus pass, its out of reach right now on our own.

So as a very humbled and lost Daughter of God Im reaching out to my brothers and sisters of humanity for help. I made Alex a promise. I promised him that I would always advocate for him and uphold my word while his words are absent. He deserves to have his autonomy of his own body restored.
