Alex Ball is a musician who travels around the south east playing music and bringing people joy with his art. He plays the fiddle, guitar, and bass. He is a very hard worker and puts a lot of miles into his trade. If you know Alex personally then you know he is a gentle soul and has genuine integrity. He is very giving and really just an all around good human being.
”Moonflower” is his home in which he has been investing into for about 10 years. All of his energy has been put into restoring her and converting this bus into a living mobile home. He just got liability insurance to get her road legal as well as new tags. He has spent thousands of dollars on mechanis to get her running smoothly. He has also just put a lot of love into her and made her very cozy and into a home. He will open his doors to people who need a place to stay for a night and even longer at times.
Hurricane Helene came through and devastated our area. Many were affected by this catastrophe. Along with that went “moonflower” Alex’s home. It’s very devastating. The tress busted out multiple windows and crushed the back right side of the bus. All of his belongings are unreachable and trapped in the bus which still has 3 trees on it making it impossible to get into. Insurance told him they will not help him with any of the damages. At this point he needs to get the trees off of his home to determine the damage and access his belongings. Hopefully he can rebuild “Moonflower” and still have his home. Alex also lost his job as a groundsman at a campground on the French broad river due to flooding. Anything to help him rebuild his home after this tragedy would be amazing. Thank you for helping someone who is directly impacted by this hurricane Helene as many were. We are all in this together.
