For some time now, Alex has bravely and privately been fighting a battle against cancer. He recently received difficult news and will be undergoing a significant surgery next week in Salt Lake City. This will likely be a challenging time for him and his family as they travel and focus on treatment and recovery.

Some teammates have also expressed interest in helping financially support Alex and his family during this time. If you feel inclined, you may consider setting aside the cost of a meal or contributing to this small fund to help with travel and living expenses while they are near the hospital.

This support will go directly to Alex so he and his family can use it in whatever way is most helpful to them in a way that aligns with university and NCAA policies.

Participation is completely voluntary, but our hope is that as a team we can surround Alex and his family with as much care, strength, and support as possible during a difficult week.
