Those who know Alexis know she is an incredible artist—but more than that, she is an incredible person. She is strong, caring, and fiercely independent, always putting others before herself and quietly giving back to her community. Time and again, she has faced challenges and not just overcome them but truly conquered them.
Alexis is a loving daughter, sister, auntie, and friend—the kind of person who remembers your birthday, checks in when you need it most, and makes you feel special. When I struggled to find childcare for my daughter, Alexis and her mother, Chantel, stepped in without hesitation, allowing me to return to work. This is just one example of many that demonstrates the kind of people Alexis and her family are.
Recently, Alexis faced the greatest challenge of her life: a major medical emergency. She was airlifted to a hospital in Boston, and for a time, her family and friends faced the terrifying uncertainty of whether she would survive. But in true Alexis-fashion, she fought with everything she had and, against all odds, pulled through.
Her journey has been incredibly difficult. Alexis spent two months in the hospital, followed by six weeks in rehab, enduring multiple procedures and countless days working through new challenges. While she has made remarkable progress, her recovery is far from over. She still faces ongoing therapies and treatments that are essential to her healing.
Her friends are coming together to raise funds to help cover Alexis’s medical and dental expenses, as well as the cost of her continued rehabilitation and care. She would never ask for help herself—even when she may need it—so we are asking on her behalf.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in her recovery. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign would mean just as much.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and support during this difficult time.
