Support Alexis in Her Fight Against Cancer

We have switched to this GoFundMe to help Alexis Lindley with medical bills and other needs through her cancer journey. For those that do not know I will provide some background on Alexis.

Alexis graduated from Matawan Regional High School in 2019 where her younger sister, Allison, now attends.

On October 2, 2024, Alexis hit her head while working at the hospital and they had sent her to get some scans to make sure she was okay. Her CT scan and MRI showed something abnormal. It took 3 different neurosurgeons and many more scans to diagnose her with a glioma brain tumor by November. They wanted to schedule her craniotomy quickly after the diagnosis, but decided she would be safe to go on her cruise that was already planned. January 20, 2025 she had her first surgery to remove the tumor and part of her frontal lobe at Jersey Shore Medical Center.

After testing, they diagnosed her with stage II oligodendroglioma. This means that there is no cure for Alexis, only treatments to improve her quality of life. She has had the opportunity to work with a fertility clinic to have her eggs frozen to protect them during treatment. For the next three months, Alexis will need lab work and/or scans every two weeks to see how her body is responding.

Due to recovery and treatment, Alexis has been off of work since January and will not be able to return until April at the earliest. Short term disability will take a while to be processed and delivered to Alexis, so things are very tight right now.
