Support Alexis Bush's Family in Their Time of Need

Hi, my name is Alexis Bush. I'm from Baton Rouge, LA. I am a 25-year-old mother of 5. I have an 11-year-old, 6-year-old, 2-year-old, 1-year-old, and a 7-month-old. Their names are Ayden, Ryleigh, Khmuri, Ma’kai, and Khlanni. They are my world; I would literally do anything for them. Even if that means asking the world for help.

We recently lost our home. It wasn't much, but we made it a home. We had a 2-bedroom and 1-bath home. Some days, I tell myself, "What kind of a mother am I that can let her kids down?" But I keep my head high and stay positive for them. Some days, I can't afford food or a place to lay our heads. Right now, we are from pillow to post.

Right now, I am enrolled in a program called THE ONE STOP program to help me find housing. But because I'm enrolled in the program, it's keeping me from getting a job. I have had 5 interviews, and I couldn't accept any of them. The program told me I'm on the top priority list but haven't received any good news. If I get a job, it's gonna blow my chances of getting a home for me and my family. So right now, I'm asking the world for your help. I'm not asking for a lot, but anything will help. I just wanna make sure my kids will be okay. I'm not trying to get my kids taken away. May God bless you all. Thank you so much.
