My name is Alexis. I am a wife and a mother of two amazing children. My son is 17 and my daughter is 9 years old. Recently, I was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer. We are just in the beginning stages of treatment, and even though things are just starting, they are already getting expensive for us. My husband is the main financial provider, and we do have health insurance, but the co-pays and out-of-pocket expenses are going to exceed anything that we had saved up. I am doing everything I can to remain positive and optimistic about the situation I have found myself in, but to be really honest I am overwhelmed and really struggling with the reality of the journey I face.

Any donations will go towards helping our family afford my care through copays for surgery, chemo, and radiation. Affording our bills while I recover and my husband is caring for me outside of work. He will take some time off to care for our two school-age children and me while I go through chemo and radiation and while I recover from surgery. Just so you know, any donations or support would be appreciated and would go towards paying our medical bills, transportation costs, and other expenses that will come up and surprise us unexpectedly while I receive treatment.
