On July 6th, I received the life-changing news that I have Stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) breast cancer. Since then, I’ve been preparing for a challenging journey that includes chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation treatments. The road ahead is daunting, and I know it will require strength, resilience, and the support of my community. While I am grateful to have insurance, it does not fully cover the costs of my medical care, and the expenses are quickly adding up.
