Hi everyone! I'm Karen, the mom to Alexis and grandma to Dexter. Dexter is at Strong Memorial Hospital in the pediatric ICU after having multiple seizures and some pretty severe neurological complications. Alexis herself was just hospitalized last week and has had to take a leave of absence from her job, where she works as a nurse to help others going through tough times. Unfortunately, she has not been at her job very long and is not getting paid for her time away or eligible for FMLA. She also has 2 other sweet babies at home. They are anticipating VERY large bills between 2 hospital stays, multiple ER visits, and ambulance transfers. If ever there was a time to give back and help someone in need, this is one of those times! Any amount would be GREATLY appreciated.
