Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

I am reaching out to you today to share a story about my fiancé Alexia, who is bravely battling breast cancer. She just turned 30 years old, in 2024 and onwards we decided to become more healthy together, going on walks, hikes, eating better foods, and being outside more with our dogs. She just started to focus on herself more, as she has always taken care of her younger siblings since they were young. She’s the most supportive, caring person you could ever meet. Since her diagnosis, we finally got the answers to why she’s been so sick lately.

In the beginning of January 2025, Alexia was diagnosed with stage 3 triple negative breast cancer. Doctors have said this is the most dangerous, rapidly growing and very aggressive type of breast cancer known in the world. This news has been a shock not only to Alexia, but to all of us who love and care for her. Despite the challenges she’ll be facing with treatment and her clinical trial, she has shown incredible strength, resilience, and a positive spirit that inspires everyone around her.

Alexia will be in an investigational drug trial through the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN to immediately attack her locally advanced breast cancer with neoadjuvent drug therapies by shrinking the tumor as fast as possible and to go straight to surgery then radiation for removal of both breasts and to avoid a recurrence of breast cancer.

Unfortunately, the journey is not easy. She will go through a harsh medical treatment plan, including chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, physical therapy and ongoing care after every step of her treatment plans. We currently live 2 hours away from the Mayo Clinic and it will be overwhelming with transportation costs, lodging expenses, and making sure Alexia has everything she needs to become healthier throughout her cancer fighting journey.

We are organizing this GoFundMe campaign to help alleviate some of the financial burdens that we are facing. Our goal is to raise 16k, which will help cover:

- Transportation to and from treatments weekly

-Lodging/hotel expenses for overnight stays as required to be near Mayo Clinic

-Treatment necessities, items for recovery, things that will help ease her healing journey after each drug therapy session etc.

- Day-to-day living expenses

-Food expenses/hygiene needs/other needs to help boost her immune system to fight the cancer

Update: With everyone’s donations she’s been able to get lodging close to her hospital for multiple visits that are 2-3 days long. We’ve been able to get groceries fit for her diet while she stays at lodgings with a kitchen to cook home made meals. We order chemo head wraps, bought lots of electrolytes drinks to keep her hydrated. We are very thankful for everything, thank you all again! Please keep sharing!

Alexia’s chemotherapy is going great! Her tumor has shrunk 50% and her lymph node as well! She just finished her second dose 3/28/25. Her oncologist said that when she goes back for her 3rd and if her tumor is even smaller in size, she can go right to surgery! That means her body is taking the chemotherapy medication great! She’s very happy about that, even though this is the best news we could ever expect. She just started losing her hair. 3/18/25 she noticed a good hand full of hair loss while showering. She’s been losing a lot of hair, she decided to cut it shoulder length on 3/24/25. After chemo on 3/29/25 She decided that it was time to shave her hair, because it just falling out. We are looking into wigs, so she can have her confidence back.
