My name is Anthea. For the last 7 years I have been working in Uganda. We have been with Alexa since she was 9 as she had no one taking care of her. She came to live with us. Alexa is now 16. She has had some health issues due to the sickle cell condition. She has developed gallstones and keeps getting repeated infections. We are hoping that she will soon be well enough to have the stones removed by surgery.
in Uganda the health service has to be paid for by the patient and their families. We are really overstretched with all the children we are caring for. So we need some help to raise funds for ongoing medical treatment and for the gallstone operation. Any little you do can add up and make a difference.
