My name is Lauren and I am writing this on behalf of my older sister, Alexandria -- a wonderful wife, mother to 3, follower of Jesus, and now of recent, bread-maker. Alex has quickly grown out of her kitchen, baking almost 50 loaves a week. We created this campaign for a special Simply Bread Co oven that allows her to bake as many as 15 loaves at a time, giving her more time and ability to push out more products. And as a result, meeting more incredible humans and growing her family from the comfort of her home. In addition, this amount will also cover business and licensing expenses.

For years I have seen my sister pour her heart and soul into her family, so much so that becoming a stay-at-home mother came so natural to her. While the obvious rewards that come from being a stay-at-home mom are evident, it comes with it's own hardships of managing time and finances. I have seen Alex enter new seasons of her life with the utmost work ethic and drive to accomplish whatever job or task that is in front of her, going beyond expectations. Through these seasons and changing jobs, her North Star has always remained the same -- her family. She's always felt a pull on her heart to nurture her family unit and give her children a true and honest upbringing, one that fosters love, learning, and Jesus.

After years of working odd jobs, turning down a recent job after working one day as a server, and always knowing that she was meant for something more that could allow for more freedom with her family, she landed on bread-making. (Now, I'm not being bias here, but you haven't lived until you've tasted the jalapeño and cheddar sourdough loaf.)

For my sister, this business didn't begin on the foundation of money, but rather who she can bring to her table to fellowship, break bread with, and spread love (and butter). Even in her search for a name for her business, I've heard her recently say in a conversation that her passion is to bring others together, using her bread and bakes as an instrument to do so.
