Hi, my name is Charlotte Doucette and I am currently volunteering with the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, Virginia. AWLA is an amazing non-profit animal shelter near me that takes in animals of all types, from dogs to rabbits! AWLA has been helping home all different kinds of animals since 1946. Each year, the shelter gets around 2,000 animals. As a volunteer at the shelter, I have noticed how much donations help the animals, whether it's donated blankets or their food that was purchased with donation money. As an animal lover myself, I want to raise money for my shelter so that all of the animals can continue to receive the care they need.
