I am starting this fundraiser for a treasured friend and her sweet little boy who is fighting for his life.

Her message:

Hi, my name is Elene and I am from Georgia. This is my son Alexandre. He is suffering from a rare genetic disease called Crigler-Najjar syndrome, which stops the body from breaking down excess bilirubin in his body. Because of this, he developed a condition called Kernicterus. As I took him for a check-up because he looked a little bit too tired, we found out he was suffering from an aggressive form of infant acute lymphoblastic leukemia with severe MLL arrangement, which caused us to move to Israel overnight as this was the country where we could get financed. The first round of chemo almost took him from us but he survived. Now he is on replacement medication called Blinatumomab. This medication gives him room to breathe and not suffer from another round of chemo. Medication is not provided for us, so we have to pay out of pocket. He will potentially need another round as he has fewer chances of surviving one more round of continuous chemo. We are trying to get any help that will be provided to access this drug to give him a fighting chance. We do have a goal, but even if we do not reach it, any amount will get us closer to the goal. He is a very sweet, loving, and happy baby despite his constant health challenges and has so much desire to survive. HELP US give him a chance to live.

I am reaching out with a mother's bleeding heart in the hardest moment of my life. My baby has been fighting infant B-ALL with MLL arrangment with all his strength. He went through chemotherapy, but he relapsed… and now we have one last chance.

The hospital has offered a treatment that can save his life — CAR-T cell therapy. But it costs 270,000 dollars, and we have only two weeks to begin extracting T cells, or we will lose this window to save him.

My baby is full of life, joy, and an incredible will to survive. He deserves the chance to grow up, to play, to laugh, and to simply live.

I am begging for help. Any donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to saving his life.
