Hello, everyone.
My name is Alexandra, and for the past few months I’ve been facing debilitating neurological symptoms that have turned my world upside down. After many tests, I was recently diagnosed with an acoustic schwannoma, a benign tumor that develops on the main nerve connecting the ear to the brain. This tumor can cause hearing loss, dizziness, balance problems, and other neurological symptoms. I am now awaiting an appointment with a neurosurgeon to discuss the best treatment plan moving forward.
Until recently, I worked as a Behavioral Health Technician, providing one-on-one support to children on the autism spectrum—a job I truly loved. Unfortunately, my symptoms have progressed to the point where I can no longer physically keep up with the demands of my work or daily life. I am also a mother of three daughters, whom I love deeply and continue fighting for as I navigate this journey.
This experience has been overwhelming—physically, emotionally, and financially. Medical bills, transportation to appointments, and basic living expenses have quickly added up. On top of this, I am seeking local resources for clothing donations for myself and my three daughters as we prepare for the upcoming winter season.
I am starting this GoFundMe to help cover:
• Ongoing medical testing and treatment
• Transportation and mobility needs
• Basic living expenses during this difficult time
Despite the challenges, I am determined to move forward with my education and goals. I am currently 75% of the way through my Associate’s degree in Radio-Television Broadcasting and plan to continue on to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Digital Communications and Media Marketing/Graphic Design. My dream is to keep working in the community and use my voice and skills to make an impact.
