Help Alexandra and Joshua Rebuild After Hurricane Helene
We never imagined we'd be in a position to ask for help like this, but our family needs your support. Our daughter Alexandra and her husband Joshua, who are expecting their first baby in March, have tragically lost everything in the wake of Hurricane Helene.
They lived in the picturesque mountains of North Carolina near Chimney Rock. The storm hit harder than anyone expected, taking the back half of their house, which was swept away by the river. The front of their home was knocked off its foundation and now rests against another building. While they prepared for rain, they could never have predicted this level of devastation.
In the middle of the night, they escaped with their pets and just a trash bag of personal belongings. Along with about 20 neighbors, they are now sheltering in place, awaiting air rescue. The roads are gone, the bridge to town is destroyed, and Chimney Rock has been decimated. The future of this area remains uncertain.
We are asking for any support you can offer. Your donations will help Alexandra and Joshua secure temporary housing, cover basic living expenses, and eventually rebuild their lives and prepare to welcome their baby in a safe home.
Please keep them, and all those affected by this disaster, in your thoughts and prayers. If you're able to contribute, no matter the amount, your generosity will make a world of difference.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
